Key Purpose
To provide maintenance and support to the businesses headline production application which is utilised by a range of high profile clients. Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of content to those clients by utilising a strong level technical understanding along with a methodical troubleshooting mindset and excellent communication skills.

Key Accountabilities
  • Validating data collection by running queries via MySQL to prevent incorrect data from reaching customers as part of data processing
  • Troubleshooting issues identified through either client reports or internal validation processes, seeing these through to resolution by testing and implementing solutions
  • Effectively collaborating and communicating with client services teams to ensure client satisfaction through the swift resolution of issues
  • Creating detailed, clear written documentation on a wide range of processes. Proactively identifying where documentation is missing or requires updating
  • Executing defined processes via terminal daily to input collected data into the product and ensuring the timely delivery of reports to customers
  • Managing and prioritizing workload effectively via case management system by utilizing understanding of data life cycle within the business
  • Taking ownership of personal technical development by utilizing the tools provided by the business to develop expertise in areas such as MySQL, command line interface and PHP 
  • Creating and developing internal tools for use by the team with the assistance of the development team from time to time

Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience working as part of an application support team, preferably focused on supporting a single bespoke software system internally
  • Experience providing functional and technical support for complex software suites
  • Experience supporting external clients in partnership with client services teams
  • Experience tangibly contributing to the success of a team that ensures the successful collection of vast amount of data from external sources

IT Experience
  • Working with Linux terminal, experience running a range of commands
  • Querying databases in MySQL through writing relevant queries
  • Working with Amazon Vendor Central and associated terminology or similar platforms
  • Using Slack as the main communication method across an organisation
  • Managing cases via Jira On-Demand
