About Ascential
Ascential is a fast-growing business-to-business media company with a focused portfolio of market-leading events and information services brands with a presence in over 150 countries. The business was listed on the FTSE in February 2016 and our share price has subsequently performed extremely strongly. We continue to grow at pace as demonstrated by a stream of recent acquisitions and concerted expansion globally – in particular in the US and Asia Pacific. We are increasingly a ‘tech’ based business and our strategy is to create core brands that truly own their vertical on a global scale.  Our focus industries include consumer, branded communications and financial services, with products falling into either Information Services or Events divisions.

Our headquarters is in central London near Piccadilly Circus, and have other London offices in Covent Garden and Paddington. We also have major hubs in New York, Sao Paulo and Hong Kong.

About the opportunity – Senior Data & Insight Manager, Money 20/20

Following our IPO, our approach has been increasingly to become ‘one business’ (rather than a collection of standalone businesses) and to increase our focus on using data to drive Ascential. This allows us to exploit economies of scale across the portfolio and has given rise to the opportunity to create a brand new Insight function. The function has now been created and consists of cross-brand Data, Insight and Research professionals and in-brand Data & Insight specialists. The cross-brand team supports on a project basis and develops replicable systems, processes and technologies, while in-brand specialist focus on advising our brands on how to grow faster and more efficiently through a true understanding of the businesses and markets they focus on.
We are looking for an experienced insight professional to take on the in-brand Data & Insight role in Money 20/20, one of the most exciting and fastest growing brands in the Ascential portfolio. Money20/20 organizes the largest global events, bringing together the smartest visionaries and innovators from across the entire payments, FinTech and financial services industry, to connect and create the future of money. As the business supercharges its global growth and reach, expanding from 2 events in the USA and Europe to 4, launching in Singapore and China in 2018, the Data & Insight role is vital to keeping the brand close to the market and its many audiences. The FinTech, payments and financial services ecosystem is complex, with many players, and this role will be key to shaping our understanding of the market, optimising our business and driving our future strategy.

It is likely that you have a combination of experience in consulting and within an insight function within industry, and be able to demonstrate exceptional impact from the insight you were able to deliver.
