About the role

We're looking for a New Business Sales Manager to join our team in London. As part of our Sales team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Prospect for potential customers, with the support of the BDR team, using various direct methods such as Linkedin, Outreach, industry events and referrals from other Ascential brands
  • Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales
  • Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements to understand what products and package best suits their needs
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to ensure meaningful conversations with prospects
  • Present products and capabilities to senior managers and decision makers
  • Work with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and maintain key account plans that identify opportunities for company to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes and forecasted sales
  • Report on sales activity (Salesforce)
  • Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions (Salesforce)
  • Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods
  • Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns
  • Work with VP Sales EMEA on strategies to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
  • Provide feedback to VP Sales EMEA and team on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings
  • Identify sales support requirements and work with marketing to develop improve sales tools

Your experience
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • Four-plus years’ demonstrated sales success
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining executive-level relationships.
  • A track record of consistent target achievement.
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • A high-energy team player who is a fast learner and is at ease with technology.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to travel (Europe) to attend in-person client meetings
  • Experience in a consultative sales environment
