The newly created Ascential Video Team is the video content creation unit of Ascential plc. Creating content across Ascential’s top brands means working alongside global leaders and visionaries in the industries that Ascential serves. This team will be producing world class content showcasing the power of Ascential’s brands. This is an opportunity to be part of the founding team that has big ambitions and aims to rival leading consumer media outlets.

Role

Ascential Plc is looking for a Video Editor to join its internal video production arm Ascential Video. The ideal candidate will enjoy creating stories using moving images.
The video editor will be responsible to editing a variety of events, scripted video productions, and creative video projects across a dynamic range of event types and industries. He will be assigned multiple projects every week, with strict deadlines, and expected to self-schedule time in the office to complete projects in a timely manner.

Key Purpose
  • Support the Video team in rendering Ascential’s brands through a wide variety of video assets - at every stage of the creative process from concepting to production and final edit
  • To enhance and protect the creative integrity of the brands, whilst balancing the commercial and creative needs, budgets and deadlines of multiple stakeholders
  • Provide video editing, logging and motion graphic support
  • To ensure all video assets are stored, catalogued and maintained to maximise efficiency and ease of access to everyone in the business

Key Accountabilities
  • Logging and Editing videos such as interviews and events
  • Conceptualising, editing and delivering videos with a wide range of subjects, including promotional materials, content marketing, social sharing
  • Editing content for award shows, such as editing case study videos
  • Sourcing stock music and stock footage when requested
  • Creating motion graphics to support edited footage
  • Editing content and providing general video support to Ascential’s offices
  • Storage management of all video assets 
Qualifications/Experience
  • 1 to 2 years experience working in a similar role in a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects
  • Technical software knowledge, format, codecs, outputs etc.
  • Having produced content for YouTube, Vimeo or other online platforms & websites is a plus
  • Photoshop & Illustrator skills is a plus
  • Multi-camera live editing experience is a plus
  • Strong portfolio/showreel
IT Experience
  • Adobe Premiere Pro, After effects, Encoder
  • Mac savvy - must be familiar with general computer use including Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
