Based in Verona and part of a passionate and self-motivated sales team who thrive on building existing relationships and the development of accounts, the Account Manager will anticipate the needs of the clients and adapt their sales style for a variety of stakeholders within your defined accounts from designers, buyers, merchandisers, marketing teams, to their respective executive team. 

Comfortable at presenting on the phone and face-to-face you will be confident at retaining and upselling the full suite of our services including: WGSN, INstock, homebuildlife and Mindset services. With your strong account management background you will be able to ask insightful questions that help the customer to think differently to how the WGSN platforms can support the achievement of their own businesses strategies. 

Developing tailored solutions to customer needs and negotiating with consummate professionalism the Account Manager will ensure maximum profitability whilst ensuring the customer gains high value for their organisation from the WGSN information platforms. 

Looking after key customers, you will be expected to know these accounts in great depth and be able to anticipate their every need and recommend solutions for their businesses that they will value and recognise WGSN as a partner to transform their businesses. 

Being able to collaborate with the right resources when required – content, advisory the exec team – you will be pivotal in helping ensure that our content reflects the needs of our customers across Italy and be able to support new initiatives out in the market based on your great contacts. 

The Account Manager will be ultimately responsible for negotiating contracts, growing the existing account base, account planning, forecasting and reinforcing the WGSN partnership for account growth and development. 

Some key responsibilities: 
• Conducting client orientations that promote our services and educate customers on how to use our products 
• Completing renewal process including drafting/submitting signed documents from client 
• Managing a portfolio of existing customers in assigned territory and ensuring a high retention rate and customer satisfaction levels 
• Analyzing usage reports once a month for existing accounts 
• Taking proactive steps to encourage higher use from the low usage users

Required Experience
  • A demonstrable track record of sales success in the management of accounts 
    • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills 
    • Good knowledge of Fashion market, industry and retail in Italy
    • Previous experience in B2B services 
    • Previous experience in selling subscription/consultancy products within the business information industry is preferable 
    • Understanding of corporate hierarchies and client motivations with the ability to identify and navigate to key decision makers 
    • A proven consultative approach to account management with the ability to sell on the “value” of the product 
    • BA in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field 
 
Language Requirements
 
  • Fluent in Italian and English written and oral
