The Account Manager will be based in Hong Kong and will be part of a passionate and self-motivated sales team who thrive on building and developing existing relationships across a portfolio of client accounts.
By thorough research and industry understanding you will anticipate the needs and adapt your sales style for a variety of stakeholders within your portfolio from designers, buyers, merchandisers, marketing teams, to their respective executive team. 
Confident at presenting on the phone and face-to-face you will be skilled at retaining and upselling the full suite of our services, across your client portfolio, including: WGSN, INstock, Lifestyle & Interiors and our advisory service: Mindset.  With a strong account management background you will be assertive, with the ability to challenge and ask insightful questions that help the customer to think differently as to how WGSN services can support in achieving their business objectives and recognise WGSN as a partner to enable their growth.
Developing tailored solutions to customer needs and negotiating with consummate professionalism the Account Manager will ensure maximum profitability whilst ensuring the customer gains high value for their organisation from the WGSN information platforms.
Being able to collaborate with the right resources when required – Marketing, Content, Advisory the Exec team – you will help ensure that our content reflects the needs of our customers in Hong Kong supporting new initiatives in territory based on your great contacts.
The Account Manager is ultimately responsible for negotiating contracts, growing the existing account base, account planning, forecasting and reinforcing the WGSN partnership for account growth and development.
Key Responsibilities 
  • Full responsibility to retain all customers across your assigned portfolio, upselling to increase client value, and ensuring that customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Execution of a strong client contact strategy over the course of the 12-month subscription
  • Building strong relationships with clients to genuinely understand their business
  • Agreeing service requirement and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of agreed terms across the client base
  • Managing customer challenges with the ability to design and provide service solutions to varied and changing problems
  • Regular analysis of client usage stats and taking proactive steps to encourage increased and consistent engagement with the service
  • Competently present and position the suite of WGSN services and platform to all levels within the DMU, on the phone and in face-to-face meetings
  • Set and deliver revocation strategy on cancelled and vulnerable accounts
  • Forecasting your business on a timely and accurate basis each week for the month and quarter
  • Work with Business Development team to help ensure seamless transition of accounts
 Desired Skills and Experience
  • BA in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Strong fluency in English and Cantonese
  • A demonstrable track record of sales success in the management of accounts
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of the fashion and retail market in Hong Kong
  • Proven track record of solution selling within a B2B information provider
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of using Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities and forecast.
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to synthesise complex situations and make sound decisions based on key information
  • Confident identifying and interacting with C-suite execs
  • A proven consultative approach to account management with the ability to sell on the “value” of the product
