About the role

We're looking for a Senior Editor, Intimates and Swim to join our team in London; this is an opportunity for your passion for Intimates & Swim to truly have an impact and for your design and analysis skills to really shine. 

To be successful in this role, you will be a Swimwear expert who also has proven experience within the Intimates and loungewear market. You'll be from either a Design or Buying background, be a strategic thinker and a department leader.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for trends research and analysis in the creation and publication of Intimates & Swim reports across; men’s and women’s categories
  • Lead the team members and ensure content quality is of the highest standards
  • Deliver concise written retail trend analysis reports showing a clear understanding of the subscribers’ needs
  • Commission, edit and sign off others’ content for publication
  • Develop the quality of the team members’ content, via regular feedback and 1-to-1’s.
  • A proven ability to sketch and CAD, with good Adobe illustrator skills
  • Line management of team with a responsibility for mid-year and end-of-year reviews, setting of objectives and personal development plans
  • Responsible for the content strategy of Intimates & Swim, department budget and budget process
  • Deliver traffic growth by consistently evaluating internal data and client feedback to improve content standards and relevance.
  • Deliver consultancy projects as and when required with Mindset Advisory teams.
  • Active participation in the content for WGSN trend days
  • Provide quotes for press and broadcast media
  • Liaises across the editorial team and key functions to educate on the scheduling of published reports, ensuring clear communication of what/when/how
  • Act as a department Ambassador both internally and externally
  • Contribute to overall content team objectives and accountable for specific personal content goals
  • Travel globally for industry events such as trades shows


Your experience 

  • Swimwear expert with experience within the Intimates and loungewear market
  • Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of the Intimates & Swim industry across design, buying, innovation, textiles and print
  • A leader within the Intimates & Swim industry with a list of industry contacts.
  • Have exceptional knowledge of the global market from premium to commercial trends across fashion and lifestyle product areas, and the ability to pin-point Intimate & Swim trends that will impact the women’s and men’s categories
  • Expert level of experience in writing, editing and reporting through an extensive career path within design, buying or content creation.
  • An expert understanding of the role data and analytics plays in commercial success; Ability to analyse data and pinpoint trends that will impact the market.
  • A proven quality of research and personal output
  • Proven experience of managing a team
  • Ability to take ownership of personal assignments, prioritise workload and provide support to other members of team when needed
  • Excellent organisation, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within an international team to ensure production standards, reports or outputs are of a consistently high standard and published on time and to budget.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with Global Sales, Client Services and Marketing to help facilitate sales and client engagement where appropriate
